Waifu Cauldron: Shrine to Nao Tomori - Red Coins
0Extremely fun stage! The difficulty is spread quite evenly among the star, and, aside from the long jumps at the beginning, pretty much every single jump in this star is really consistent and simply fun to execute which made it very enjoyable to play.
I actually got an insane fluke on this star, obtaining it from a PB of 7/17 reds in about an hour. It's been a while since I last got this lucky on a star this difficult, so being able to get the hardest star of Waifu Cauldron this quickly was quite the confidence booster.
Unfortunately, I fell down at 8:38 as I didn't mess around with this triple jump dive enough in practice, leading to me believing that you couldn't land on the platform, only wallkick off of it. That messed up my route as I normally would have done a few red coins that I ended up doing a lot later right here (21:15, 22:13, 23:28), making me hesitate a lot more in the attempt as well. I also watched Morningstorm's theory tas of this star between 16:24 and 20:24 since I wasn't able to remember one of those coins, leading me to believe that I had forgotten one somewhere. It's kind of a shame how sloppy this attempt ended up becoming.
Regardless, I'm still glad that I got the star and I hope that this luck will continue for the other hard stars in this game!
