So apparently, the music_info structures actually do impact more than the music in the game stage - including the music that plays on the music select screen, title screen, and yes, even what audio is used for the Song Scale Test in the operator menu of AC mixes. Since 2ndMIX is still analog, this means that among the tracks you can choose, you can even make it so these respective parts of the game play the full song audio (as opposed to just their preview tracks). I suspect that this is due to 3rdMIX onward using the MP3 encoding for the main song tracks, but I could be wrong.
