Originally a "secret game"; it has been outed as War of the Ring Second Edition! Chris and I play through the game to find out what really happens in the Lord of the Rings! It's a bit different to those made up story books.

War of the Ring Second Edition on Board Game Geek: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/115746/war-ring-second-edition

Players:
Michael Dennis (Free People)
Chris Britton (Shadow)

Rules corrections:

In this area I shall note the rules we got wrong, and did not correct during the video!

- A player may not recruit (muster) troops in conquered settlements. You can only recruit into free (unconquered) settlements belonging to the faction. (This rule can be broken by event cards)

- The Fellowship is not automatically revealed (the progress token flipped to the revealed side) when the shadow player rolls a success on a hunt check. When a hunt check is successful the shadow player draws a hunt token from the hunt pool (bag), which may reveal the fellowship if it shows the right symbol.

- If the fellowship is revealed as a result of a hunt token they may not reveal themselves in a region containing a Free People's Settlement. If they reveal themselves in a region, and the route taken to get there starts in, passes through or ends in a region that contains a shadow stronghold still controlled by the shadow player then an additional hunt tile is drawn for each applicable stronghold.
