War Thunder: BF 109 E-4 - The smallest tweaks make the greatest difference?
Being one of the Luftwaffe's main-stay fighters during the Battle of Britain in the Summer of 1940, the E-4 was essentially an upgrade on the BF 109 E-3.
With its upgraded 20mm MG FF/M Cannon in the wings, and revised cockpit canopy, the E-4 continued the legend of the BF 109 being a deadly opponent of the RAF.
And it is with these minor tweaks, and practically identical flight model to the BF 109 E-3 in Arcade Air Battles that the E-4 proves itself as a rather brilliant all-rounder that may encourage you to avoid taking the leap from the BF 109 E-3 to the BF 109 F-1 for just a little bit longer.
Set-up:
7.92mm MG 17 Machine Guns - Omni-Purpose Belts
20mm MG FF/M Cannon - Air Target Belts
Gun Convergence: 300m
Fuel Load: 30 minutes
