Autumn 1942. With most of the Luftwaffe bombers and fighters tied up on the Eastern Front, things are not going well on the Channel front. Especially the nighttime bombing of England is extracting an ever rising toll on Luftwaffe bombers due to the increasing effectiveness of the british defenses. Still, english bombardments of german cities demand counterattacks on british targets. Turning back to succesful tactics from the Battle of Britain, fighter bombers from 10/JG2 and 10/JG26 become the weapon of choice for these attacks.
Faster than the Spitfire Mk.V, the bulk of the british fighter force, they provided a great challenge for fighter command, forcing significant numbers of fighters into a defensive role and tying up large number of personnel on the ground for light AAA protection and barrage balloons, thus turning them into a strategic success.
In this video Finnish pilots flyign the Focke Wulf 190 fighter bombers take off from France and head to Britain to jabo British installations.
The Ûberfinns Perkele was loose organization that combined any willing Finnish online pilots into common squadron in historical scenarios and events. We also flew together a lot in the Main Arena even if we were in different squadrons.
