Warframe (2023) on LOW-END LAPTOP || Intel Celeron N2840, Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail), 4 GB RAM
This is how Warframe runs on a super low-end laptop with the Intel Celeron N2840 that's slower than the Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 from 2006 and the Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail) that are weaker than the GeForce 210, in 2023.
AS TO WHAT I MEAN BY SAYING THAT IT WAS A PAIN TO GET WARFRAME TO WORK PROPERLY:
I'm not kidding. It was truly the patience test. On the first attempt of getting Warframe to work, I waited more than an HOUR just to be able to open the BLOODY SETTINGS MENU, so that I can obviously lower the settings in order for us to get anything higher than the 3 FPS the default settings provide. Yeah, that is how long it took for Warframe to load on this kind of hardware. While I was lowering the settings, I also thought: "Oh wow there's an upscaling option? I better turn that beauty on!" This, however, as mentioned in the video, proved to be a big mistake, because as a result of turning on FSR 2.2, the game crashed, and I couldn't launch the game afterwards, atleast not 'till I dug into the config file and reverted my bad mistake. Turns out the Intel HD (Bay Trail) lack the necessary instructions to handle those new technologies! On what was actually the third attempt, I had far bigger success, even if it still took an hour for the game to fully load. After that, I spent an additional hour playing the tutorial quest, which was quite stuttery, due to the game wanting to utilize quite a lot of RAM, and therefore a lot of pagefile was being loaded in, making the poor old Seagate 500 GB hard drive suffer. But once I was done with the tutorial, I found out the later quests run more smoothly for some reason... This video is basically how Warframe should run with this kind of exotic hardware once you're done with that suffering.
I wouldn't recommend playing Warframe in the long term if you also have 4 GB RAM, no SSD and old Intel HD Graphics, as the game is still being actively updated. It probably used to run far better years ago, it even supported DirectX 9 32-bit from what I've researched. But hey, I'm glad I got a game that released on my birthday to work on the legendary Intel Celeron N2840!
