Warframe EP8: Assassination Contract Phorid
2Infestation missions are a great way to earn credits for buying new gear and gain experience for leveling up new weapons/weapons with polarity changes. Phorid and the Infested can be a real pain in the ass for newer players that haven't put a lot of time into modding weapons and Frames. At the end of this video I listed the mods used to kill Phorid in this particular run for anyone that might be stuck with this contract. The Infested can swarm at any time and the combat can be in tight spaces. Nasty business.
Also, even though Nyx (fantastic Warframe) has been in heavy rotation lately, I had to switch to Atlas for the Phorid/Infested runs for two key reasons.
1) Atlas has knockdown resistance by default meaning whenever the Ancients use their throw-line grapple against Atlas, it won't work when he's on the ground (in the air is a different story though). This is key because the green Ancient Infested can use that attack, knocking other Warframes to the ground and dragging them back to the Ancient's feet. If the green Ancient uses their breath attack immediately afterward it will drain life like a virus at an accelerated rate ending in death if the player is too slow to get away from him.
2) When fighting Phorid, summoning the Rumblers is the easiest way to kill him indirectly that I've found so far. The Rumblers will literally beat Phorid to death leaving the player free to kill the legions of Infested that will swarm the area gaining them a lot of experience, some mods and materials. With Nyx/Oberon and a maxed out Daikyu modded for Critical Chance up and Status, that bow can kill Phorid in three to four shots. Works great against Juggernauts too. Of course, players of higher rank with Prime weapons can totally obliterate these foes. But I'm not there yet.
