Honestly, i STILL am not sure if we finished it off or this was part 1 only but as i say, the way to take them down requires you to first finish the new quest to get warrior operator to take eidolons shields down THEN keep the little guys off the eidolon as they bring its shields back, do this and the battle is not as hard as it seems. IF you dont run out of ammo.
