Hello and welcome to GamerU’s guide to building basic Warframes in the free-to-play game, also called Warframe.
There are 26 Warframes in all including their gold-laced Prime variants. Every Warframe can be purchased with the premium in-game currency called Platinum, but you can also earn every Warframe in the game without spending any money. Most of the basic Warframes can be earned by defeating bosses on each of the game’s planets. However, before you can build a Warframe, you need to find its three core parts - the helmet, chassis and systems. The first Warframe you can earn through boss fights is Rhino. Rhino can be earned by defeating the boss named Jackal on Venus. Upon defeating Jackal and exiting the stage, you’ll be granted one of three parts for Rhino. You’ll need to fight Jackal multiple times before it’ll drop all three parts for the Rhino Warframe.
Once you’ve acquired the helmet, chassis and systems, you’re ready to start building. Go to the foundry aboard your ship and navigate over the Warframe tab. It’s here you’ll see every Warframe component you’ve acquired. Scroll around to find the part you want to build and click on it. Provided you have all the necessary resources, you can begin to build the core Warframe components. Each Warframe part takes 12 hours to build, although this process can be sped up by spending Platinum. Once all the parts are built, head to the market, navigate to the Warframes tab and select the Warframe blueprints option. Here you’ll find all of the Warframe blueprints you can buy with credits. Purchase the blueprint you need and head back to the foundry. Now you can use the blueprint to build your new Warframe. After three days, your Warframe will be complete.
