The Dragon Rising and Spear of the Sanada cross blades and unite for the first time ever! I think that was one of the hypes for the game originally, along with Lu Bu vs. Tadakatsu, Cao Cao vs. Nobunaga, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Anyway, another pretty straightforward mission. You don't have to kill the messengers I don't believe, I think that'll just cause the enemies to collapse on you all at once but I don't think it'll keep any stages or characters from unlocking.

Otherwise if you want to follow some form of canon movement (?) then it's rolling through the map in a 'C-shape' kind of route.
