Interview with MitchOG, famous for encountering the shiny Starly and shiny starter Turtwig on the same encounter on December 22nd 2021 in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

This hunt has a 1 in 16 million odds of occurring. Mitch was able to encounter both shinies at only 107 encounters during his shiny only run. Mitch came under fire from the Pokemon shiny hunting community with accusations of faking the rare shiny encounter with modded hardware/software and allegedly for dishonestly reaping the praises of such a lucky achievement.

There has been no confirmation of any wrongdoing on Mitch's part when it comes to the shiny encounter in question.
