Was My First 200 Hour Single Player Game Worth It? (Full Thoughts on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 + DLC)
200 hours later... (I wish I was joking. I'm literally not) my next Full Thoughts video is FINALLY here. This time... for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and it's DLC (Future Redeemed) for Nintendo Switch 1 & 2. As usual, to the best of my ability without spoilers, (THOUGH I HINT AT THINGS SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) I talk about the story of the game, the characters of the game, the world and setting of the game, the graphics and the gameplay of the main game and DLC. The long and short of it... is that it's a repeat of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. I didn't really like the main game story (though I'd say I liked Xenoblade 3's story FAR BETTER than Xenoblade 1's story) but LOVED the DLC. They contradict themselves WAY too much and it takes to long to 'become good' and to keep me invested. Plus... TOO MANY DAMN MECHANICS. At least in the main game. YOU HAVE LET US OVER-LEVEL FOR TWO DAMN GAMES NOW MONOLITHSOFT. NOW YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT?! REALLY?! Okay. Sure thing. So yeah... The DLC DID make things better... but considering I spent 180-ish (or close to that) hours in the main game... I'm not really sure that makes it 'worth it'. For me at least. Play and experience the game yourself. Because this is obviously just how I personally feel about the game. Everyone's opinions will be different. So I can have my opinion. Do whatever you want at the end of the day... the main game was just a mess for me. But just literally only me if it helps you sleep at night.
