Ahhh. True Crime Streets of LA. One of the only game franchises at the time that could say they outclassed Grand Theft Auto. Sure, GTA had it's charm, but this game was a damn masterclass of gaming, you got some of the most advanced systems at the time in 2003!! Fighting, shooting, driving, and a good story with lots of humor and A List talents like Gary Oldman and Christopher Walken! The Drive and shoot mechanic, it took Rockstar until 2008 to make it good, hand to hand combat? Heh, forget it, GTA has never had good hand to hand combat. Not even the shooting matched the ease and arcade style fun of True Crime!! Couldn't really take cover neither, had to just run around and hope to god the computer had bad aim! Yessiree, True Crime Streets of LA was a damn classic, extremely underrated! Don't even listen to the critics, they couldn't handle the over the top action and fun. I have so many good memories of this game, and once in a while I think about my Uncle when I play this game. One time he just showed up and played this game on PS2 with me and my brother and one of his friends, we were all trying to beat one of the final bosses! Rest in peace, Uncle. Love you
