Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero was in development for only 18 months, with tight deadlines like that back then it's amazing it's a miracle this was a full fledged project with AMV cutscenes and the game is about 2 and a half hours long. The gameplay feels like the mainline Mortal Kombat 3 or even the new ones, yet it's kind of like a Metroidvania in a way with Resident Evil style inventory managment. This game could be remade today but even better I bet, it actually feels like a survival fighting game, a very interesting game but also a very difficult game with awkward movement, you have to press L2 (A in N64 version) to turn backwards, much like in Resident Evil where you have to press down + action, otherwise that game is pretty much impossible. Very interesting gameplay, if they were allowed to cook back then I can only imagine how good this would have been. Deadlines ain't a new thing it's always been a thing.
