Wayfinder's Early Access Woes
1Wayfinder, the new title coming from Airship Syndicate, veteren dev studio behind titles such as Ruined King, Darksiders Genesis, and Battlechasers, is off to a much less than stellar launch.
Digital Extremes, publisher of the title, didn't help much either considering they are veterans at running these live service style games.
From Early Access that required a purchase resulting in no access, to founders pack items not appearing to customers, to extremely predatory micro-transaciton practices, Wayfinder is one foot in the grave right out of the gate.
However, both Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes released a lengthy, letter, to the community on the launch woes with their apologies to the poor launch, and more importantly, their fixes to most of the items.
While there is still a ways to go to get out of this landslide of a rocky launch, Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes seem to be trying to do the right thing and get it to the open roads of Early Access for the players.
