Wayward Souls - Mage Gameplay by Rocketcat Games. Releasing March 2014

Wayward Souls is an action-adventure dungeon crawler with randomized levels and permanent death. It features quick, twitch-based combat where tactics, positioning, and timing matter, controlled through touchscreen gestures. Two years in the making, it's designed for quick playthroughs and lots of replay value.

Battle through hordes of monsters as six different player characters, each with their own playstyle. Customize each character with their own upgrades and equipment that changes their abilities. Learn their stories and find out what happened in the cursed tower you find yourself in.

Coming to iOS Feb/Mar 2014
Some time later it's getting ported to other platforms (Android and PC are definite)

Pick one of six characters and try to survive a randomly generated dungeon that changes every time you play. Each character has a different story, set of abilities, and unique combat style that you'll have to master. Think on your feet and fight increasingly difficult and numerous enemies as you piece together the mystery of your surroundings.

- If you die, you end up back at the start of the dungeon tier. However, if you get to the next tier, you can't lose that progress. You also can't lose your gold through death, or your upgrades. It's a kinder, gentler permadeath.
- When facing a new enemy, when possible you should try to observe it for a bit before rushing in to get murdered.
- If you get stuck, try a different character. One may appeal to your playstyle more.
- Try different equipment. Some may excel in the specific area you find yourself in, or in combination with your other equipment.
- The final upgrade of each character, their "Gift", applies to all other characters instead of them. This may help you with characters you consider weaker.
- Have fun dying.
- Feel good if you beat catacombs. The area after that is for experts, and is designed so you may never beat it. (see: Have fun dying.)
