2The Nightmare mod series is made by the modder Rhyme. It is designed to increase the difficulty of the base Starcraft 2 Campaigns, while changing as little as possible of the core mission design, gameplay, and mechanics. Basicly: it's the same, but harder. (Some of the research, upgrades, and unit properties have been altered and rebalenced in order to reduce the overpowered nature of some of the original campaign elements, as well as to make some of the less chosen options more viable)
The Nightmare difficulty mod is available for Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. The one for Legacy of the Void is still in development.
This and other mods can be played through the GiantGrantGames Custom Campaign Manager, and the following link will take you to a walkthrough video of how to get it all set up and ready to go.
