WE NEED TO GO DEEPER! | In The Tub with Chasm Gameplay
It’s my Chasm gameplay and first impressions video. Hey, watch my Chasm gameplay and watch me explore the dangerous depths!
Thanks for checking in to this Chasm gameplay and first impressions video. Chasm is a procedural generated adventure platformer game where you must explore the mines underneath an abandoned town and survive against evil creatures below. In Chasm, the gameplay requires stamina and precise combat, so if you are debating on whether the Chasm gameplay sounds like a game for you, please consider watching my video of the Chasm gameplay.
'In the Tub With' is a work in progress series in which I'll take a one off look at a game and it’s gameplay. I'll attempt to show off gameplay, the mechanics and provide some of my first impressions. It is in no way intended as a review but rather as a source of commentated gameplay footage for anyone contemplating spending money but would like to see it in action first. Chasm is the latest game to fall victim to my ‘In The Tub With’ treatment so please try and stick with me as I find my feet in this loose critique of Chasm and the Chasm gameplay.
Developed by Bit Kid, the Chasm gameplay is a lot of fun. Chasm has the potential to be addictive as making incremental progress in the caves can be fulfilling and so you may want to check out Chasm as even the Chasm pixel art awesome. The Chasm gameplay seems to be inspired by other metroidvania games where some gameplay elements aren't immediately available.
Taken directly from its Steam store page, here’s a line or two about Chasm and it’s gameplay:
Welcome to Chasm, an action-adventure game in which you play a new recruit undertaking your first mission for the Guildean Kingdom. Thrilled to prove your worth as a knight, you track strange rumors that a mine vital to the Kingdom has been shut down. But what you discover in the mining town is worse than you imagined: The townspeople have disappeared, kidnapped by supernatural creatures emerging from the depths.
Released on 31st July 2018 the Chasm gameplay is fun and my first impressions are, on the whole, good. The Chasm gameplay has a good sense of exploration inviting you to explore one more room despite a chance of grisly death and so in my first impressions and gameplay of Chasm I think it’s easy to see the game has a certain degree of charm.
Chasm is currently released on Steam and priced at £15.49 In my opinion, there is enough content here to warrant a purchase with hopefully more to come. I can say, the Chasm gameplay is a super enjoyable experience that has kept me engaged and wanting to see where it goes. From the Chasm gameplay video, you can see I’m only 30 or so minutes into the Chasm gameplay so who knows what other Chasm gameplay elements there are to discover so consider this if purchasing Chasm and you can get an idea of what’s in store by checking out this Chasm gameplay and first impressions video.
