In this video I test the Police Baton developed by Armament Systems and Procedures. It is a twenty inch collapsible baton that is used throughout the world by law enforcement and military organizations. The ASP is very popular among cops because of its ability to fit into a holster.

Results:

During the test I found that the ASP is an incredibly effective weapon. The steel plates were dented and almost punctured by each baton strike, The ballistics gelatin did not seem to be effected as much as the steel, but the high speed video proved me to be wrong. In one shot we saw the ballistic gelatin compress as much as 2.5 inches. This would have probably resulted in medium trauma and broken bones.
