WebAssembly has been getting a lot of buzz among web developers. But what exactly is it? How will it fit into the browser and what are it's use cases? Ali talks about the goal of WebAssembly; to allow code written in any language at near-native speeds in the browser. Ali describes the need for these languages to run in the browser to solve processor and memory intensive problems that Javascript is not the best language for. He goes on to say how this does not mean WebAssembly will replace Javascript, but rather act as a sidekick for applications that require heavy use of a machines CPU and memory.
