Slipknot
Chris Fehn, one of the band’s percussionists, is suing the band over merch payment issues. It seems that the band is supposed to collect merch payments from a single company, and Fehn claims to have knowledge of a number of other companies that he claims band leaders Shawn Crahan and Corey Taylor have something to do with.
Hellyeah
The band is releasing a new track from their forthcoming album to be released later this year. The album still is without a name, but it WILL feature the final recorded tracks from Vinnie Paul.

Titans
Deadline is reporting that Esai Morales of Caprica and Ozark fame has been cast to play Slade Wilson in the next season.

Jacques Pepin
Food nerds here’s one for you! Master Chef, and just all around amazing guy, Jacques Pepin is getting a lifetime achievement award at the Daytime Emmys. Pepin will be the first culinary pro to ever get the award.

The pilot episode was shown at the SXSW film festival last week. And it seems to be showing a shared universe not only with Joe Hill’s other major work that might be getting it’s own series, Locke and Key, but also with Stephen King’s IT. NOS4A2 is going to be starring Sylar… err… Zachary Quinto as an immortal who feeds off the souls of children and will begin airing on AMC later this year.

Shang-Chi
Marvel has just announced Destin Daniel Cretton as the director for their first solo superhero movie based on an Asian protagonist. They already have a script penned by Dave Callaham, from early this year/late last year.

The deal is DONE! Mexico was the final hurdle for the $73.1 billion merger, and they have just signed the all ahead for the deal to finally come to a close on the 20th of THIS month.

That being said there is now word that the potential awesome that is Noah Hawley’s Dr. Doom movie, IS actually in development, as the script has been finalized, BUT with the impending merger it has been placed on hold. Though Feige has talked specifically to Hawley about it’s existence.

Word is coming down from Sony that the Vin Diesel fronted Bloodshot movie next February is the beginning of a 5 movie shared universe utilizing the Valiant line of heroes.

Back 4 Blood
Since we apparently won’t be getting Left 4 Dead 3 anytime soon, the production studio that made that game for Valve is taking things into their own hands. Their new endeavor sounds very similar to the Valve game, but Turtle Rock Studios is saying that it will be “very different” from what they did in the Left 4 Dead franchise.
Comic Books
Blood Shot
Valiant comics is relaunching one of their largest characters just in time for Vin Diesel to portray him in the movies. The new series will be written by Tim Seely and art by Brett Booth. The new series will be on shelves this September and the movie will be in theaters next February.
Grendel
Eisner Award winning writer Matt Wagner is returning to his Grendel series this October. Dark Horse will start putting out Grendel: Devil’s Odyssey starting October 2.
