Weekly Runs!!! - Week 17 - Serious Sam : The Random Encounter - Ep. 1 - Born To Be Bad!!!
1Week 17 of the Weekly Runs!!! features a bit of a different game, Serious Sam : The Random Encounter. It's a simplistic game with easy to learn mechanics but it certainly doesn't make the game easy. I've played it quite a few times since I picked it up and I never made it very far. It' frustrating but addictive and pretty unique actually. Think of Pre-set firing patterns against a horde of creatures running you down as you try to move up and down to avoid projectiles. Then you get to re-adjust your shot pattern every five seconds, switch weapons, or use an item. It's fun, it's challenging and it's difficult. The story is short and funny, go action go!
I feel a bit off this week and I apologize if it comes through in this playthrough. This is one of the games I've had on my list for a while and I keep pushing it further and further down the line. I'm really bad at the game and I was in shock that despite my terrible-i-tude I managed to actually be victorious. Shock of shocks. Either way, I have fun playing it but I feel I over think things and tend to get lost in the game a bit. My commentary takes a bit of a hit this week. Next week will be better I assure you! Unless...of course...you liked this week. I dunno, regardless, I plan to always TRY and do better. :D
