(WARNING: SPOILERS)
War... War never changes. Unless someone drops nukes all over the place. Then it's all about killing mutant life forms and surviving another day. Sure, it's still about staying alive and murdering in order to succeed, but the battlefield is different, and the war... that's something else.
I have to mention that I've found the opening to be a bit rushed, or rather rushing, but gave enough context and subtlety for a fair start. I got the motivation bhind my character, and I got to see a part of what life was before the nuclear attacks. So that's a strong way to start an amazing adventure in my book.
