Welcome To Path Of Exile - Lets Play Review Part 1
Heylo sweet little Hell Sheep,
Welcome to another lets play on the channel, today we have an game that really takes alot of inspiration from the Diablo series as it plays and feels JUST like it so if someone had you play this an did not tell you what it was you probably would think it was Diablo. The interface , the map layout, enemy swarms, top down view everything screams Diablo and that is not a bad thing at all but does take away what would make the game unique however as even the character class is identical.
There are quite alot of Diablo-esk games out there an alot of them don't hold up or compare but Path Of Exile certaintly holds up but does a great job at just being FUN. You will get overwhelmed alot but that doesn't end your experience in the map zones as you are able to respawn at checkpoints which you unlock by simply adventuring around the map to finish off those high damaging enemies.
PoE certaintly does not hold your hand at all, this is like you chose to play this so you are going to suffer for it because certain areas you unlock mostly from curiousity unlock special map zones were the enemies are high level and elite level threats that destroy you in seconds.
Graphically this game is a wonder to look at EXCEPT for the dreary overcast tone of GREY which dampens the layout of the game everywere you go which is kinda understandable to give that feeling of dread is everywere around you but kinda takes away from the many details the game offers.
Sound design is wonderful and so is the voice acting for the enemie sounds to the NPCs you talk too, music even sounds pretty good so I can not really complain much in this regard.
Customization in the beginning is non-existant as you choose your class and that is basically it, however this gets made up for somewhat by armor and purchasable cosmetics you can acquire though it certaintly does not make it a WIN in my book, I would like to have had the ability to make my Exile look the way I want.
Interface or UI is nice an not at all intrusive which is great because you get the ability to focus more on traversing the map and fighting the enemies without having large boxs taking up half your screen.
Well that is all I can think of commenting on for now, an as we go along I will add to this lets play review but until then, be sure to do the following below!
