From The Publisher: We're Sinking! is a 3-6 player, semi-cooperative, prisoner’s dilemma, hand management, and secret action-taking survival game.
In We're Sinking!, players take on the roles of pirates on a ship under siege. As the ship takes damage, the crew must work together to defeat one of the threats, (Krakens, Cursed Pirates, Sharks, Sirens) while keeping the ship from... well, Sinking! But will you or your fellow crew choose to selfishly pocket treasure instead as precious time runs out? If the ship sinks only one lucky pirate will be able to fit in the lifeboat.
Each turn players will choose one 1 4 actions to take, (Bucket, Patch, Fire, Loot) Bucket, helps decrease the current water level. Patch, helps fix breach cards. Fire, allows you to shoot cannons at the enemy. Or Loot, which allows you to steal item cards. Players will discuss and possibly bluff about what actions they should take. Then players will secretly choose their action on their hidden dials and place them facedown. Once all dials have been placed, players will then reveal dials simultaneously.
In the end, a pirate's life is all about the treasure, or surviving to tell the tale! Turn yourself into a legend by defeating the enemy, saving the ship, and having the most valuable hand. In the case of a sinking ship, be the one who survived to tell the tale by having the least amount of cards in your hand so you can flee in the lifeboat.
Either way, players constantly make tough decisions as they change their strategies based on how close they think the ship is to sinking or how trustworthy their fellow mates ar(rrr)e.
