Top seed of the tournament Subhayan Kundu (2307) scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 to win 3rd DD-DBCA Rating Open 2022. He finished third in the previous edition early this year. He had also won the West Bengal State Rapid Championship 2022 in April. Before this event, Subhayan also became West Bengal State Senior Open 2022 champion for the very first time.
