What Are Delusions & How Are They Different From Hallucinations?
Today we will be talking about delusions.
Delusions are difficult to understand because they aren't always black and white, or cut and dry. There are often many emotions and fears under the surface of a delusion that a good mental health providers can "fish out."
Delusions are fixed, false beliefs held to be true despite evidence to the contrary. Delusions can occur if an individual is diagnosed with schizophrenia or other kinds of disorders with psychotic symptoms/features.
Hallucinations are sensory experiences that are false and bothersome to the sufferer.
In this video, I not only talk about the different types of delusions, but also hallucinations that sometimes accompany delusions.
