Signs of Suicidal Behavior: Plans, Intent, & Threats
When it comes to suicide it can be very difficult to determine if someone is serious or not about it. Some people will make direct statements while others will make indirect statements.
Direct statements include: "I am going to kill myself tomorrow at 5pm on the Bevermore bridge."
An indirect statement of suicide would be: "I wish I were dead right now."
A passive death with would include statements such as "I would be better off dead."
Learning what to listen out for is important for all of us. Language says so much more sometimes than any other thing.
In this video, I discuss what you should look out for and be aware of. In this video, you will learn the following:
1. How to identify serious suicidal statements
2. When to reach out to others for help
3. When to take suicidal statements seriously
