The Paragon Board is a new system being added to Diablo 4 to expand character customisation beyond a character's skills + gear. The max level you can gain in Diablo 4 is 100, that being you will hit a level cap of 50 and every level after that gives you 4 paragon points until you hit 200 paragon points. You can gain an additional 20 paragon points from renown that you will gain when playing throughout the game and doing quests on the map. Unlike Diablo 3, where paragon points where an addition stat boost that you can add to your character endlessly, in Diablo 4 paragon points are customisable stat pathways that you can choose based on what direction they want to take the character and the build that you choose to create.

At the edge of each board is a "gate" tile where players will choose which new paragon board they wish to attach to the board once you have selected enough points to pass through. When the gate tile is selected, players will also receive +5 stat bonus to Strength, Willpower, Intelligence, or Dexterity.
