So right after you finish the campaign, you will have access to the tree of whispers. This will serve as one of the endgame activities you can do.
You go to the tree and it will give you a wide range of different activities you can do on the map, these will be shown and marked. Essentially you will be doing Grim Favours for the Tree and each task that you complete rewards different amount of Grim Favours. You can get 1-5 depending on the task. Thing like kill a certain amount of stuff will usually grant from 1-3 with the difference between the amount of time it takes to complete, cellars will always be 1 favour whilst killing 100 of something might be 3 favours. Other tasks such as completing dungeons or defeating a PVP boss, will grant 5 favours as a reward. Once you complete 10 favours, you come back to the tree and the Tree will grant you a reward.

These rewards will contain a wide range of things such as materials, items, nightmare sigils,. gems. so it's always really good to do these, especially if you're searching for certain types of gear as there's a chance you'll get a collection or a greater collection of a certain armor or weapon type. Greater collection has the chance to drop more legendary items.
