With Thanksgiving upon us we have been wine focused the past few weeks sharing some zinfandels and a Pinot Noir with you. For this week's podcast we are shifting gears as we will be trying a barrel-aged stout. We are big fans of barrel-aged beers and they usually make a great final step on your beer arc, particularly on cold winter nights. The beer we will be trying on this show is the Campanology Barrel Aged stout from Trader Joe’s. We don’t know what type of barrels are used, but this beer does spend 12 months in a barrel of some kind. What we do know is that it comes in at 11% ABV and costs $6.99 per bottle.
