What do you get when you combine Apple #ARKit & Google Cardboard? Introducing "ARKitBoard"
Here is a small sample of using Unity to create Google Cardboard and Apple #ARKit to create rudimentary Inside/Out tracking for VR use.
Performance and framerate is erratic due to my use of WiFi & Apple TV to record this. Performance is better in the headset, but hopefully there will be better compatibility with newer GVR SDKs as well.
The lens profile used was for the upcoming #NEODioPLAY "Stealth" for the iPhone 7 Plus that will also allow for the Occipital Structure sensor to be used as well. NEODioPLAY touts an extremely minimal design for weight and cooling, along with a front opening lens box with aspherically 42mm lenses for the highest FOV in a mobile headset.
