The blizzard Earnings call just happened for Q1 of 2019, and this may investor call tells us that Blizzard is losing users at a rate worth noting. This is the lowest active player count they have been at in a long time and this means things like wow subscribers and overwatch players are not showing up in the nnumbers Blizzard would need to see to be on the upswing they hope to have in 2020.
Its not really shocking seeing as they have not been really putting out content and wow bfa has had a rough build up to 8.2 which hopes to turn it around for world of warcraft, but it is interesting to think about what this means for blizzcon and what blizzard 2019 is shaping up to mean for us gamers.
