12The latest episode of #DBSSparks shines a spotlight on the issue of food waste. We caught up with the cast to hear their thoughts on this global crisis.
Adrian Pang who plays Chester Teo in the mini-series, says he’s guilty of wasting food himself. “Singapore is a food haven, but we also have to recognise the fact that we’re also big food wasters. But in the last couple of years, I've been trying my very best to be very careful about how much I eat, how much I really need to buy, how much I really need to cook.”
Singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono who plays Ethan, a rookie banker in this episode, says this issue is one that’s close to his heart. “I enjoy cooking and I try to waste as little of what’s in the fridge, because I absolutely hate it when you forget about that bag of celery that you bought and then it just becomes mush at the bottom of the fridge. It could have been something amazing.”
