What Does 'Oumuamua Look Like? Featuring Dr. Karen Meech
The first interstellar object, named 'Oumuamua, was discovered in October 2017 by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope in Hawaii. The object is of unknown origin and could be a comet or asteroid. In this preview of Thursday's full episode, we spoke to Dr. Karen Meech, who leads the Astrobiology research team at the University of Hawaii and recently led the characterization to determine the size, shape, color and light curve of the first interstellar object – 'Oumuamua.
