What Firmware Does My NEW Acasis TB501 Pro Have? (Thunderbolt 5 Gen 5 NVMe Compatible Enclosure)
21In this video I'm showing you what firmware my new Acasis TB501 Pro Thunderbolt 5 SSD enclosure has. This is the version that is compatible with PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSDs. In this setup I am using a 4TB Samsung 9100 Pro.

However, what I can tell you is this. I received my two new enclosures on the 13th September 2025 and they both have firmware 62.62.
They both come in different packaging than the previous TB501 Pro enclosures, both my previous Gen 4 and Gen 5 versions.
However, the 'new' packaging only mentions TB501 Pro on a sticker on the packaging and not on the box itself and there's no mention of PCIe Gen 5 compatibility.
They both look exactly the same as my previous Gen 4 and Gen 5 enclosures but the enclosures do not mention anything about PCIe Gen 5 compatibility.
As far as I am aware, these Gen 5 compatible enclosures are only available direct from the Acasis website and I don't know when or even if they will be available anywhere other than the Acasis website, Amazon as a for instance.
