When a card refers to cards that you control, this includes all cards on your side of the field only. So Your monsters, spell and trap card zone, and your field zone are counted in that. And if a card refers to "You" they mean the person who controls that card. So when a card like Gozen Match is on the field, that says each player can only control 1 attribute of monster.
