At the beginning of Digimon World 2003 you are challenged by Tamer Genji straight after obtaining your Digimon. Tamer Genji has just a Kuwagamon, and when you defeat him he comments on the potential that you show. Have you ever wondered what happens if you lose to him? Have you ever wondered if some sort of alternative scene takes place if he beats you? Well, this video will answer those very questions.
I started the game with Monmon, Agumon and Renamon as my Digimon. I got challenged by Tamer Genji like you always do when playing the game. I didn't defeat his Kuwagamon. Instead, I just repeatedly picked "Run" and waited for him to defeat me. I didn't flee from the battle; this is a battle that you can't run away from. My reason for picking "Run" was because I wouldn't damage Kuwagamon by doing that. I did end up losing the battle but it simply resulted in a standard Game Over. Nothing special happened.
I guess it's a shame that there isn't some special scene which occurs if you lose to Tamer Genji. But at least we all have an answer to the question of whether or not anything happens if Tamer Genji beats you.
