What if All of Avatar: The Way of Water Was 48FPS
4I loved this movie. Saw it in 24FPS 3D. Really wished I had a theater near me that supported the variable framerate. But I took this trailer and converted the whole thing to 48FPS. You'll see some issues where obviously the trailer was cut with 24FPS in mind, so sometimes the cuts are too quick with 48FPS. But, there are plenty of moments where the shots linger, and 48FPS shines. Personally, I think viewers would get used to 48FPS over time. We are simply used to 24FPS as its been the standard for 100+ years at this point. I will say my viewing of it in 24FPS 3D was good overall, but there were lots of action moments where I noticed the stuttering. Maximum judder on camera pans. I walked out with a headache, to be honest.
