Kakashi is our cool dude. He’s laid back and seems to put his friends before his missions, and his mentality of friends over missions is an inherited trait from his father and his team mate. It’s the Kakashi that we all know and love. But the thing is, he wasn’t always like this. Kakashi suffered a lot in the past, and that had caused him to reject love in preference to rules. Kakashi was scarred and hurt and he didn’t know how else to handle it. However, there was a possibility of Kakashi also going rogue. After all, Kakashi’s reactions were out of the realization that death could come from not following the rules. Love was lost when rules weren’t followed. That’s why he followed them. He blamed love.
