Naruto and Sasuke have always been two sides of the same coin. It’s hard to imagine any world where Naruto does not have Sasuke to contrast him. Strange enough though, this almost happened once. You see, in the original plot for Naruto, Sasuke was nowhere to be found, nor was he ever planned to be introduced. Only when his editor demanded Naruto have a rival at the last minute did Kishimoto add him in. So the Naruto story we have now, almost never was. But thankfully, we got Sasuke to be the opposite of Naruto. Their roles determined by the past they lived and how they chose to interpret those struggles they went through. But now we’ve switched those pasts. We’ve switched their births, their childhoods, and their roles. We’ve already seen some changes occurring in Sasuke and Naruto. So the question remains, will Sasuke and Naruto diverge yet again? And if so, how? Or is it possible that, due to their differences in history, they will have the reason to stay together for good? There’s only one way to see, and that’s to let the story continue. I hope you all will stick with me as we continue this tale. A tale of two boys, and the histories they were never supposed to have.
