Heavy RL work schedule coupled with illness, took over a month to recover. But here we are playing No Mans Sky Beyond, one of my favorite CHILL games, where you just turn an audio book on in the background and explore the galaxy. That's because it's not really a complete game, and more a universe sandbox. Let's discuss how it could be much better, and closer to a complete game.
At this point in time I DO RECOMMEND BUYING No Man's Sky Beyond if Starbound/Terraria/Minecraft are games you enjoy. It may be less detailed, with a far less entertaining story than Starbound, but exploring the galaxy is just about as much fun. On discount only for solo players, but full price if you have a friend you want to play it with, because multiplayer is even more fun.
But first lets drive away ardent fans, fan is short for fanatic by the way, those are the worst. And let's break parts of the game down, and see about building it back up again.
This is a long running "What if" series where I just explore the Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda of games. In the case of Hello Games, they have ongoing development meaning this could turn into something, but more than likely use this video as a no so serious thought experiment that you can apply to other games made in the same vein as No Man's Sky.
As a side-note, anyone who remembers the Elder Scrolls Mod Maker Trainwiz; under the creative name of Pastaspace he's making his own Space Game called Underspace, you should check it out.
