Horizon Wave is a theme store / theme system that offers theme packs which take advantage of Windows 10’s native customization options and integrate open source software such as VLC, OBS, and ScreenPlay to give the end user a console-like experience on their Windows 10 desktop. Proprietary options can also be used in place of those open source programs as alternatives, but since this project is open source and I have a life long goal of supporting open source endeavors, I made sure to opt for open source software while building this project. Currently there are over ten themes available in the latest version of it. This video shows off the Nintendo 3DS, SEGA Dreamcast, and Nintendo Wii themes of Horizon Wave in that order.
