What is ATX12VO, this new standard Intel has been threatening the industry with? Well this whole "What is 12VO question" is actually much simpler than many thought at first. ATX12VO is a new way to regulate voltages coming from an ATX12VO PSU and into an ATX12VO motherboard. All the conversions to lower voltages are done on the motherboard, which should in theory mean much more efficient PCs! So if it's so amazing, why haven't we seen it in many cosumer products? Well ATX12VO may still be far away, but the looming arrival of DDR5 may be the push it needs!
