About: AEGIS Kingdoms
Let's be real for a moment - this is NOT an MMO, and it won't ever be one, because that's not a realistic aspiration for our game studio.
AEGIS Kingdoms has been built for you, our community - to be a place for our community. A place where we can hangout together, battle monsters, organise community PvP events and really just have fun!
So AEGIS Kingdoms isn't your ordinary game project. We're not aiming for 1000s of players, or to make the next big hit. Instead, we've made something that we want to play, and we're hoping you want to play it too.
Technically speaking - AEGIS Kingdoms is a TMORPG (Tiny Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). It's an online RPG, that feels like a private server with a small community vibe.
But that's just the surface. We want to grow with you, our community, to continue to make an awesome game.
It is free to play, with an emphasis on no pay to win aspects. In the future there will be cosmetic cash-shop items that you can buy to support the game, but that is optional, and as you may know, fairly standard practice. It is important to note that this game also uses a mixture of predominant store assets as well as some original assets, and feels incredibly "indie". It is in alpha, and we are currently opening the servers only to do play tests at the moment, with every update leading up to our first big DECEMBER in-game event (our Community Clash).
The bottom line is that this game is still very WIP, as and such things are changing a lot as we continue to build the game. Our Alpha phase is tailored to our first in-game event, and then we will be releasing subsequent updates to expand upon the Adventure Mode we have planned.
Please join our lil Discord if you'd like to know more about when each play test is, as we'll be announcing that over Discord. We also host impromptu tests, too. For absolute clarity: the servers are NOT open all the time, only during play tests.
AEGIS Kingdoms is a third person ARPG, with accompanying hot-bar abilities. You're able to customize your character, level up, apply skill points, use the chat, trade with other players, create guilds, PvP, PvE and even ride animals if you want to. There is questing, item repairs, generic tomfoolery and just your average indie RPG experience. You earn gold and EXP for killing things, and you spend that lovely gold on shiny things that make you look cool.
