Our Matteo Valenti takes you to discover the electro-actuated (robotic) gearbox. A technology often confused with the automatic gearbox although, in this case, it is more correct to speak of a semi-automatic system. This type of gearbox maintains a traditional mechanical structure, similar to that of a manual gearbox, but uses an electro-hydraulic actuator to engage the gears in place of the driver. As a practical example, we used the Selespeed or Dualogic model, used on cars such as the Fiat Panda and the old-generation Lancia Y.
