What is b7#9b13 chord?
The altered dominant was a chord that always confused me when I first started out learning jazz and exploring some fusion tunes. It actually makes a lot of sense when you do some backwards thinking and consider the function of the notes and the resolution of the chord. There are many functions for this chord and many resolutions but in todays video I'll be using E altered to resolve to Am. Melodic minor will be our scale of choice for this. Hopefully this video helps you and leave a comment below!
