What is the Difference Between Ability and Hax.
0A lot of people I have met have this confusion. What is the difference between hax and ability. Why are some ability called hax or why are some denied and said that this is not an hax.
Btw please like and subscribe. I will be posting most things about abilities, hax, and everything related that you need to know if you want to powerscale. If there is something particular you want to know about then just comment.
What is an ability? A Skill to do something. Yeah easy to understand but when this term is used in fictional verses does the meaning change ? Yes a bit.
So The confusion comes from the fact that ability in anime have few sub parts.
The ones I know about are
1. Skills
2. Innate Skills
3. Hax
Skills are things like that other people can learn. Like rasengan, chidori, Kido, Magic, Sword arts and all that stuff.
Innate skills are things like sharingan, magic eyes of death perception, Imagine breaker, vector manipulation.
Things that are unique to certain individuals or clan due to bloodline. Cannot be widely learned by a large no. of people. Things like those.
Now hax. I think Sharingan is the best example to explain the difference.
1 tomoe to 3 tomoe sharingan is an ability/innate skill but not an hax why ? Because although it gives uchiha an advantage it does not break all the rules that are in fighting.
When two people fight they could be judged based on strength, speed, durability and ability. These four are main criteria to judge who would win. There are some sub criteria such as stamina, intelligence, striking strength but they only come in play when you don't get the result based on 4 main criteria or one these sub-criteria is so strong for a character that it becomes more important than one of the main criteria.
abilities/skills follow the norm of these criteria. A person with lower strength, speed, durability cannot defeat someone whith higher ones. Yes ability/skill can help someone defeat a person who has higher stats but only if difference is small.
There are no skills that could help an athlete level character defeat Nucleur level characters.
Now back to sharingan example. Normal sharingan comes under ability/skills while some ability of MS comes under hax such as tsukiyomi, kotomatsukami, infinite tsukiyomi, izanagi, izanami.
These abilities that allow someone to break rules of battle are ability. Things like Eyes of death perception and his death manipulation, grimmy's reality manipulation, book of the end's ability to manipulate past, Jugram's causality manipulation, Zeref's neo eclipse. Things like these are perfect example of hax might give you a better idea of what I am talking about.
Remember hax is an ability but every ability is not a hax.
