What makes a game SOULSLIKE?
15There are hundreds of SOULS LIKE games that have launched over the years What determines if one of these games is a rip off or a new entity worth playing. Several games like lords of the fallen, remnant from ashes, The Suge, Absolver, all feel awful and lack any kind of substance. They are NICHE games that may impress some people, but never entice an entire audience. Is mortal shell another one of these "whatever" games, or is it truly worthy of your time? Its worth trying the beta right now on the Epic games store to find out. I enjoyed my time with it personally. It has alot of style similarities to dark souls itself. This can be good in some degrees while distasteful in others. The game is nice looking and has a cool mechanic going for it with the many shells it offers. Overall would play again.
