What Really Happened to ANT ANSTEAD? Why did Ant Anstead leave “Wheeler Dealers”? Exit Reason
Anthony Richard Anstead is popularly known as Ant Anstead, a British TV presenter, car builder, designer, motor specialist, and artist. He is best known for co-hosting the automotive show on Channel 4 titled "For the Love of Cars" alongside Philip Glenister. Ant joined the show by replacing Edd China as the co-presenter of Wheeler Dealers, who presented alongside Mike Brewer, and the duo hosted for fourteen years from 2003 to 2017.
Ant Anstead then took over the show for three seasons, from seasons fourteen to sixteen, from 2017 to 2020. And then Ant was replaced by Marc Elvis Priestley, an old Formula One Mechanic for the show's seventeenth season last year.
In 2017, Anstead replaced Edd China as co-host of Wheeler Dealers. However, Ant announced that he would be leaving the show in November 2020, shortly after he announced his divorce from his ex-wife.
